1. Fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water.
Avoid hot water; it will tighten fibers further.
2. Add gentle conditioner or baby shampoo.
Use about one tablespoon per liter of water. These help relax cotton fibers, making them easier to stretch.
3. Soak the shirt for 20–30 minutes.
This allows the fibers to fully absorb water and loosen.
4. Gently squeeze (don’t wring) the excess water.
Lay the shirt flat on a towel and roll it up to absorb moisture.
5. Stretch carefully to original shape.
Lay flat on another dry towel. Gently pull the fabric in all directions — sleeves, width, and length. You can pin the edges down to hold the shape as it dries.
6. Let it air dry completely.
Do not use heat — that would undo your progress.
